Hi there, I’m Danny!

I’m happy to tell you a bit about my upbringing and lifetime of experience as a fisherman…
I was raised in Silverton, Oregon, where I grew up fishing at the age of 9 out my back door on Silver Creek with my father.
We would catch Rainbow Trout, Silvers, and Winter Steelhead.
Dad and I got our first driftboat when I was about 14 years old.
I started guiding at about 22 in 1983.
I enjoyed teaching people the thing I knew most about & enjoyed most in my life: fishing.
I fished all the time. With my dad, my friends, or solo, I’d take off down to the coast.
In 1984, I started Western Fishing Adventures in Oregon, which is still running to this day.
In 1988, I visited the Kenai River for the first time, and I’ve been back every year since.
I started guiding in 1993 on the Kenai.
In 1994, I started renting this beautiful Lodge on Beaver Creek and purchased it in 1999.
Bit by bit, every year, I’ve been improving, upgrading and adding to its charm.
